THE ORGANISATION'S EXPERIENCE IN IMPLEMENTING PROJECTS


Nabroho society For the Aged has an experience of more than twenty years in working with the aged and People with Disabilities. with the funds from HelpAge International, The Foundation for civil Society and Twaweza UWEZO. The following are the Projects that have been implemented by the organization since 2000 to promote the rights of the elderly, PWDs and challenges, causes and symptoms that perpetuate murder of the elderly and people with albinism in the pretext of witch craft in Simiyu and Mwanza regions of Tanzania. Accessibility of age friendly health services, Raising voices of the elderly, women and people with Disabilities, food and incomes security.

Following are some projects that have been accomplished for far:

Ø  2023 to date: “CHAGUO LANGU” - Combating Female Genital Mutulation, Child Marriages and Discrimination against People with Disabilities in Tarime and Butiama districts of Mara region in Tanzania.

Ø  2022-2023: COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake Demand Promotion Program

Ø  2018-2020 P: Make Government work for older people including older people with disabilities (AcT2 Project)

Ø  2016-2017:People with Albinism Demand Action (PEWADA) Project

Ø  2015-2015:Assesement of Pupils ability to read and write in Busega

Ø  2012-2013:Busega Youth self employments Project

Ø  2012-2015:Accountability and fulfillment for older people in order to raise their dignity(AFFORD)

Ø  2007-2010:Sukuma Land older women Rights and HIV/AIDS
